GROWING LEADERSHIP                                                                        STATUS: OPEN

'Growing Leaders' is a 'Talent Pool' that allows those teachers and School Leaders interested in furthering their careers in Leadership to have the opportunities to be recruited or be seconded to another school.  It meets the need for those professionals who may have become 'stuck in their present setting due to limited promotion opportunities and for those who want to 'try out' a new role before committing to a permanent position.

If you are a Headteacher with a member of staff who you know would like some leadership experience and you do not have the capacity to meet their needs then 'Growing Leaders' may be the solution.

This training is for Middle and Senior Leaders interested in developing their career.

This training is bespoke to Lionwood Teaching School and completion of training days carries an accreditation for Lionwood Teaching School working in conjunction with Lambeth Teaching School and VNET.

The three bespoke training days will enable you to develop as a Middle or Senior Leader and consider your own career pathway and future options.

Day 1 will induct you to the philosophy behind Lionwood Teaching School and what it looks and feels like to be within the leadership structure of schools. It will build on your skills and leadership qualities and challenge your thinking to consider other roles.

Day 2 will focus on different styles of leadership and the skills needed for effective leadership behaviours. It will help you to understand the importance of leadership qualities beyond the day to day running of schools and the relationships we build as leaders.

Day 3 will enable you to reflect on the skills you have developed so far and how you would demonstrate these to a potential placement school. This day will also cover the protocols and ways of working and the capacity that you have for deployment for the next term.
