At Lionwood Teaching School we believe that in order to make a decision about whether teaching is for you, be successful in teacher training and to be prepared for your teacher career, it is important to have some experience working in school. This is not a statutory requirement but we, along with most ITT providers, strongly recommend it.
All our schools in the Inclusive Schools Trust are more than happy to welcome volunteers wishing to get some voluntary experience, whether you apply through Lionwood Teaching School or not.
In addition we welcome applicants for Teaching Assistants by graduates wanting to apply for teacher training and would like to work as a Teaching Assistant for a year or so prior to applying.
To see any current vacancies at Lionwood Schools Federation and other Inclusive Schools Trust vacancies - please see link below.
If you would like to discuss a school experience placement prior to starting a teaching course, please contact:
Selene Sawyer - CEO/Executive Headteacher
and we will try and place you in one of our Primary Phase Schools
Alternatively you can visit our training provider (Suffolk and Norfolk SCITT) website below and they will help you to find a placement.
